With the sun setting on a Rugby World Cup campaign for another four years, we reflect on our time in scenic France during an action-packed eight-week tour and provide a greater insight into what you could experience on your next rugby trip firsthand, thanks to Wallabies Travel.

Suitcases were packed, and our expert team at Wallabies Travel set off to deliver two months of amazing tours and experiences for our Wallabies Travel guests from across the globe.

Despite the Wallabies’ pool-stage departure with two-wins and two-losses, Wallabies Travel guests were able to experience rip-roaring rugby, breathtaking tours and inner-sanctum access from the Official Travel Partner of Rugby Australia.

With expertly curated packages across all stages of the tournaments – from early pool games right through to the final showdown between New Zealand and eventual champions South Africa –Wallabies Travel had the pleasure of hosting hundreds of passionate customers during the two months’ stay, with many staying on tour with Wallabies Travel across multiple weeks in stunning France.

Beyond the on-field of scintillating rugby across stadiums including Stade de France, OL Stadium in Lyon, Stade Geoffroy-Guichard, Saint-Étienne, our Wallabies Travel customers were treated to expertly curated tours across the stunning Beaujolais wine region at some of the oldest wineries in the world, accessed pre-game meetings with members of the current Wallabies squad, as well as experienced fine dining in renowned French chef Paul Bocuse’s Abbaye Collonges, attended private river cruises down the Seine in Paris amongst other truly unforgettable experiences.

Enjoying world-class experiences on tour, our guests were also treated to meet-and-greets with Wallabies greats and heroes throughout the tournament, including former captain and Wallabies Travel Ambassador Nathan Sharpe, Tim Horan AM, Morgan Turinui, Rugby Australia CEO Phil Waugh, Stirling Mortlock AM, and Joe Roff, as well as fellow ambassador and current Australian Sevens star Charlotte Caslick.

Don’t just take our word for it. Here are some of our incredible guests detailing their experience with Wallabies Travel in their own words!

“…Staff and game day logistics were fantastic and pre- game events were loads of fun.  As an Aussie living abroad, it was a great way to meet loads of countrymen and women. Would highly recommend Wallabies Travel.” - Jason, Abu Dhabi.

“RWC 2023 was our first Wallabies Travel tour. All we needed to do was pack our bags, everything else taken care of with many memorable activities and surprises to note in the travel diary. Suitcase at the ready for the next tour.” – Helen, NSW
